Publisher of the Year Award goes to Northern Alum
Spring 2003

Ken Larson, a graduate of Northern Montana College in 1972, was recently honored as the Brehm Communications Incorporated Publisher of the Year. He has been the publisher for the Sun Advocate and the Emery County Progress, two Brehm communication newspapers, for nearly two years.

Larson began his newspaper career in Malta, Montana as areporter, and later as editor, for the Phillips County News. He relocated to Havre in the late seventies serving as the Public Relations Director and Alumni Coordinator for Northern. He co-owned and published the Bear Paw Sentinel, and later worked as the advertising director for the Havre Daily News. He joined Brehm Communications, a multi-state newspaper company, in 2000 as the General Manager of News West Publishing Company in Bullhead City, Arizona. He now resides in Price Arizona.
