The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), which is the national accrediting body for education programs, voted during their March meeting to fully accredit Northern's Education Program. This decision
was the culmination of two years of preparation, planning, evaluation,
review and an on-site visit on October 26-29. When the team left they
reported that Northern had to met all 6 criteria for accreditation. |
