The Class of 1953 just celebrated their 50th Class Reunion on May 9th and 10th. It was an UNFORGETTABLE EVENT!!!!!! We were wined, dined and treated royally. We went through the graduation ceremony wearing gold gowns and caps and we each received a new diploma. We "caught up" on the lives of classmates whom we had not seen in 50 years and we shared stories and pictures. I can assure you that these reunions are worth the effort. However, we found that two of our oldest friends are almost homeless and they need lots of care. The old friends are the "Goose and Gander" which, like all of us who are aging, need more parts replaced and general maintenance to keep going. These two aging relics have been a symbol of NMC since the early 1930's, and like us, have become more valuable with time. Our class feels that we should not lose this heritage. Therefore, the Class of 1953 has chosen to take on the quest for funds to house and care for the "Goose and Gander" and within a few minutes collected a small "pot" of money for that purpose. Now we offer a challenge to all alumni classes to beat our total so that we may keep these vehicles around for many years to come. While our class believes that we will contribute more than any other class, we also feel that all alums who remember the ear splitting squeal (that acted as a horn) will wish to contribute. This will insure that future generations of students will be able to "experience" the "Goose and Gander". The Class
of 1953 asks you to accept our challenge! Send your donation whatever Class of 1953 Raymond "Gene" Watson Editor's
