MSU-Northern Hosts 50th Reunion
Spring 2003

Fourteen Golden Grads patiently wait to be the first group of people to receive their degrees
during this years commencement ceremony

Montana State University-Northern welcomed the Northern Montana College Class of `53 back to campus on May 9th and 10th, 2003, to celebrate their 50th reunion. The returning alums had a busy schedule that included campus and community tours, class meetings, and socialization time for the class members to catch up with one another.

The reunion began Friday, May 9th, with class registration in Donaldson Commons and a luncheon featuring MSU-Northern Chancellor, Dr. Alex Capdeville who gave the welcome and an update on the campus progress. Montana State University-Northern's Admissions office staff lead a tour of the campus followed by a class meeting in Donaldson Hall. Friday's festivities concluded with the Founder's Excellence dinner and Reunion banquet in the Student Union Dining Room where the 50-year alumni were introduced and received their 50 year pins.

On Saturday, May 10th, MSU-Northern's Commencement Ceremony highlighted the weekend. The "Golden Grads" marched in the processional and lead the new graduates into the graduation exercises. At the conclusion of Commencement, they joined the Class of 2003, their families and friends, and the faculty, staff and administration in the Student Union Ballroom for the Graduation Brunch. A tour of Havre Beneath Streets was scheduled for Saturday afternoon to showcase Havre's history. The reunion concluded with a social hour and barbeque held in Donaldson Commons and hosted by the Northern Alumni Association board members.
