Northern's 75th Anniversary 1929-2004
Fall 2003

Northern's 75th Anniversary is September 29th, 2004. A University committee has been meeting for several months and is considering some outstanding activities to commemorate the occasion during the coming year; a Lecture series, an All School Reunion and Homecoming, a play series, the "We Love MSU-Northern" Ball, and a Chautauqua. The committee plans to hang banners from all the light poles coming into campus and would like to bring in some big name entertainment.

Without your help, this celebration will not take place. We are asking you to consider a one time pledge to this project in one of three ways: as a Contributor, giving a minimum of $7.50 or $.75 for every year since you left Northern; as a Northern Light giving $75.00 outright; or as a Chancellor's Leader, giving $750.00. If you have never donated to your alma mater before, this would be a wonderful way to acknowledge your appreciation for what Northern has meant in your life.

The banners, slogan and logo are all being designed. If you have a family member who was instrumental in securing Northern's place in the University System, a banner would be a wonderful memorial gift to the institution in their memory. We will want you to remember this event, so in appreciation for your gift, the Northern Alumni Association will give you a gift as well. A Contributor will receive a copy of the "Northern Reflections" book and an Alumni bookmark; a Northern Light will receive the book, bookmark, and a special limited edition Donaldson Hall Christmas ornament that is on order; a Chancellor's Leader will receive the book, bookmark, ornament, and a light pole banner that will be displayed on campus or in the community of Havre.
