A delegation of administrators and faculty members from MSU-Northern visited Northeastern Montana to reaffirm its commitment to meeting the educational needs of Northeastern Montana and to promote a weekend master's degree that will be delivered at Wolf Point in the fall.

Chancellor Alex Capdeville explained "This annual tour was started two years ago, because we felt that MSU-Northern had neglected Northeastern Montana and as a result, area students were going to college in North Dakota. People tell me that it is cheaper to attend college in North Dakota, but that just isn't true. Northern has the best rates in the state. During the tour, we met with high school administrators, legislators, alumni and community members to talk about some of the new things Northern is doing. I also wanted to hear what we needed to be doing to meet the educational needs of Northeastern Montana."

The tour is split into three groups. College administrators met with superintendents, principals and counselors in each town and also conducted lunch and dinner meetings with alumni, legislators and community members. Faculty members were divided into two teams and visited two schools per day. During these visits they offered demonstrations of a college class.
