Homecoming was on October 23rd and the game against Carroll College was well-played even though we lost.  The alumni association hosted a pig  roast after the game and had a great turnout.  Watch for next year's Homecoming date and plan on attending if you can. We had alums from Washington, Missouri, and from around the state return to campus. It was a beautiful day with great company and great fun. We'd like to see more get involved. On December 9th, we hosted a reception in Lewistown for area alums and friends at the Yogo Inn, continuing our networking with alums to gauge area needs and expectations of Northern and to visit. A popular section of the Aurora Borealis is the Family Album. Please consider sending in any of your personal updates to me for future issumes.  We want to keep in touch with you and keep you in touch with your classmates

Our annual phonathon with our Spring calls began on February 6th and ended March 22, 2000. When one of our students calls you, please take a minute to visit with them and verify or correct any database information for your files. We hire our own students to call and find this works very well. They have a flexible, hourly wage job and a commission, which helps them through school and we get a very good group to call our alums.

You should have received your survey from the Bernard C. Harris Publishing, Co., postcards (mailed March 17th), and follow-up phone calls (beginning April 10th) for final verification of the accuracy of your information for the directory. They are compiling and updating our database information for the Milleniurn issue that is scheduled for release in October 2000. Their deadline for updating information and ordering directories is May 22nd. They publish this directory on a reservation basis only, so there won't be extras for purchase if you want one at a later date.

Our affinity card company, MBNA America, has also been contacting you about the new credit card opportunity. A percentage based on your transactions would benefit the Northern Alumni Association projects.  If you would like to sign up, but missed your letter or call, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Your Alumni Board of Directors are busy working to support students and Northern with projects and activities that involve and server alumni.  Without your loyal support, none of this would be possible.  You are most sincerely appreciated!
