
The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the Chancellor.
Responsibilities
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for coordination of the following activities: recruitment for faculty, administrators, professional and classified personnel for MSU-Northern; selection procedures and recommendations; position classification; statistical reports for Federal EEO guidelines; MSU-Northern Affirmative Action Guidelines; and maintaining personnel transaction files for all classified employees. The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for union contract interpretations, serves on the union negotiation team, and prepares reports dealing with confidential matters such as sexual harassment, grievance proceedings, and other human resources issues of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
