FACULTY POSITION:    Nursing:  Assistant Professor, Tenure-track, Havre, Montana

BARGAINING UNIT:  MEA-MFT

RESPONSIBILITIES:            

Teach nursing courses in the associate degree and RN to BSN (online) nursing programs as well as
provide clinical instruction in the medical surgical or geriatric areas.
 
This position will teach approximately 24 semester credit hours of classes per year.

SALARY AND RANK:

Commensurate with credentials and experience and within guidelines set by the collective bargaining agreement

 


QUALIFICATIONS:               

Required:  A Masters degree in Nursing and licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Montana.
 
The applicant must have recent clinical experience in medical surgical nursing or geriatric nursing. 

 

Preferred:  Doctorate, experience in distance education including interactive television and web-based course delivery.

THE UNIVERSITY:

Montana State University-Northern is a comprehensive university serving approximately 1,300 students in
an unusually large geographic region.  It is one of six baccalaureate institutions comprising the Montana University System.

and the Rocky Mountains to the west; a pristine environment in all directions.

Rail transportation is provided by Amtrak. The metropolitan cities of Great Falls, Montana, 115 miles southwest,
and Medicine Hat, Canada, 135 miles north, offer all the amenities of the big city.
