A CIS degree from MSU-Northern prepares you for a long-lasting IT career. The four-year degree option is a comprehensive study of computer information systems courses. Graduates of the CIS program have gone on to careers as applications programmers, telecommunications analysts, database administrators, computer support consultants, information systems analysts, designers, managers, and specialists both in-state and outside of Montana. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, IT jobs are growing at average or faster than average rates, with a few specialties experiencing significant growth.

* The BS and AAS in Computer Information Systems are currently in Moratorium. We are not accepting new students into these programs. Students currently enrolled will be able to complete these degrees. These programs are being reviewed and may become available in the future.
