Intensive study is focused on agriculture tractors, combines, tillage, planting, spraying, and forage equipment. In addition, students earning the degree learn skills on diesel engines and fuel systems, electrical/electronic systems, hydraulic systems, heating and air conditioning systems, heavy duty powertrains, and metal repair.

While attending MSU-Northern, students are eligible to participate in cooperative education. This program allows students the opportunity to earn college credit and money while they gain valuable work experience in their field or study.
