The Applied Agriculture Minor is designed to provide four-year degree majors with primary coursework in the agricultural sciences and applied agriculture technology. A popular and very complementary major for this minor is the four-year Business Administration degree. Many of the two-year agriculture technology majors continue on and pursue a four-year degree in a non agriculture major and choose the agriculture minor to support their B.S. degree. A minor in "Marketing: Technical Sales and Service" provides students with a broad background in marketing with a focus on personal selling, customer service, and advertising/promotion. Students with this minor should be well-prepared for entry level marketing, sales, or customer service positions in many industries, depending on the student’s major. Overall, small businesses are the stock from which large businesses emerge, the first job of many new workers, and the opportunity for their owners to achieve the American Dream.
