Community Service |

This broad-based program allows you to focus on the area of non-profit or governmental service that you’re interested in. Many of the courses emphasize applied learning through practical experience. You will emerge from this program with solid professional ties with non-profit organizations, governmental services, and/or tribal agencies. In addition, our Community Service program provides you with the necessary combination of social science foundations and communication theory to be an effective community service professional. Our graduates are readily employed using the knowledge and skills gained in the community service program. These may include positions with federal and state government, recreation programs, community planning organizations, local government and community service programs. The 4-year degree also provides a solid basis for career advancement within these fields. Examples of areas our graduates are working include: Criminal Justice: Probation and Juvenile Probation In addition, the Community Service curriculum provides a solid foundation for continuing your education towards a graduate degree in law, social work or related specialized professional careers. |
